The implementation date of the new visa regime has been set to commence on 1 April 2025.
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Namibia is taking steps to improve travel accessibility and strengthen global ties by implementing a new visa-on-arrival system. This initiative is designed to simplify the entry process for visitors. Under the updated policy, travellers from countries that have not yet established reciprocal visa exemptions with Namibia can now apply for a visa either online or upon arrival.
The government remains dedicated to enhancing diplomatic relations with these nations and aims to collaborate on mutually beneficial visa agreements moving forward.
VISA FEES
- NAD 1,600 (approximately USD 90) for citizens from non-African countries.
- NAD 1,200 (approximately USD 70) for citizens from African countries. These fees are subject to an annual review.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- Valid passport (with at least 6 months validity +3 blank pages)
- Completed visa application form
- Confirmation of accommodation (hotel reservation or invitation letter)
- Confirmation of sufficient funds • Travel itinerary
- Travel/ Medical Insurance
- Full birth certificate or parental consent letter if travelling with children
- Online visa on arrival applicants require a printed copy of the approved e-visa
